[Noid | Claremont 56 | Smalltown Supersound]
Saturday 16th February 2013
The Roadhouse, Manchester
11pm – Late
To open 2013, we are joined by the legendary IDJUT BOYS! Dan and Con have acquired messianic-like status with their innovative eclecticism and good time vibe, which has seen them successfully supersede trends for nearly 20 years. Their recent album, Cellar Door (Smalltown Supersound) received wide acclaim and was followed up strongly with the hyped, limited edition compilation to celebrate Claremont 56′s fifth anniversary – a personal selection of the label’s releases with a sprinkling of new re-edits – essential stuff. Much like esteemed cohorts Harvey and Baldelli, the Idjuts’ imprints (Discfunction, U-Star, Noid and Cottage) enjoy cult-status and they have released productions, compilations and re-edits on respected labels including, Eskimo, Tirk and Bear Funk Records.
The Idjuts are renowned for fusing disco, dub, funk, house and rock into the kind of groove that leaves discerning music lovers and the dance floor reeling! Experience tells us another special night is in order, if anything like our previous parties with the boys at the helm.
Expect the unexpected – bring a positive attitude and an open mind!
