Cutloose came together as a collective earlier this year. 3 close friends who share the same common values with regards to musical taste and musical philosophy. The main aim we have is to put on a good party with amazing music and to create an atmosphere where people can let go and enjoy themselves.

I love: music, art, fashions, root beer, lomography, baking, cooking, knit-wear, new kicks, beaches, bright blue skys, city living, girls with fringes, booze, architecture, design, clean living, ray bans, disco, small remote islands, rabbits of the furry kind, my family, lying in, getting up early, the sun in my face, megatron, designing websites, user experiences, buildings, vintage cars, the internet, crackbook, my friends, the countryside, village pubs, proper boozers, patas bravas, girls with big bright smiles, Manchester

Jenko's impeccable taste and insatiable appetite for the ultra rare, obscure and down right infectious ensures his sets are a kaleidoscope of quality house, techno, disco, boogie, jazz, funk, soul, Latin, Afro, reggae – always with a firm emphasis on the funk and soul elements – he amalgamates cuts from across the musical stratosphere: Popular People's Front to Lucio Battisti; William de Vaughan to Studio; Gepy & Gepy to Hamilton Bohannon; Theo Parrish to Hydro; Norma Jean Bell to Steel An' Skin. Paul has recently graced the decks and kicked Cutloose parties into gear, laying it down proper and setting the tone for the likes of Loud E, Roland Appel and Metro Area. As well as honing his skills 6 stories high, in what can only be described as Ancoats' answer to Mancuso's Loft, Jenks can also be found quaffing Manchester's finest ales in the Marble Arch and preening his Brylcream laden Joey Boswell bonce, which exudes almost as much volume as the supreme sound emanating from his four Bowers and Wilkins floor stand speakers.

Having long outgrown his affinity for all things Mousse T and the constraints of Rochdale's finest dancing establishments, Wes has developed impeccable taste and a fine ear for some of the best things in life: House, disco, techno, soul, funk and anything else with a common, underlying theme of being very good. In recent years, Wes has peered over the mixer whilst playing at both the Redlight and a string of Naive Melody parties at Sankeys, keeping the heads firmly nodding and the feet moving in support of the likes of Detroit don Carl Craig, Chicago heavyweight DJ Sneak and Parisian producer I:Cube. More recently, between cultivating the most feeble attempt at ginger designer stubble this side of Prince Harry, Wes has kept the turntables warm at Cutloose parties for, amongst others, Theo Parrish, Metro Area and Mark Seven; fulfilling his adulthood dreams in the process. His childhood dream of being able to scratch 5'6" into his door frame remains a dream.
