2009 has been a fantastic year at the Roadhouse where we’ve staged and debuted our favourite DJs from around the world. We made the move to our favourite Mancunian basement in February after taking January out to plan what to do with the following 11 months. The opening night was rammed to the rafters and the atomsphere electric highlighting we’d made the right choice in venue and setting the benchmark for all future parties. From there on in we raised the bar month by month showcasing fine musical soundtracks provided by the DJs below.

In September we celebrated our 1st Birthday party with the lads from Firecracker Recordings, at the time it really didn’t feel like 12 months has passed since we staged our first party in September 2008 with Theo Parrish.
Along the way we’ve made some best friends who I’m sure will be returning in the near future to detonate the basement of the Roadhouse once more. It’s hard to pick a stand out party from 2009 as they’ve all been amazing for so many different reasons. Each guest has brought something different to the party and for 4 hours created an electric atomsphere, sharing their own take on House music.
In addition to our own parties we’ve helped provide support on many other musical occassions in and around the city and further afield, such as Wes and Paul supporting Mark Seven’s party in Sweden earlier in the year. Just a few days ago we took our record bags down to Legends where the Electric Chair staged their End of Year Riot – we had a cracking night and it was good to be part of something that has been a musical institution for the last decade and beyond.
We’re already looking forward to 2010 with our first three guests of the year all ready to go. February will be our first party after the January break. They go like this :

The Roadhouse has capacity for 250 cats for this party so don’t sleep if you’re planning on coming. No ticket really does mean no entry and our last party sold out with weeks to go. Over the next few weeks We’ll be providing a comprehensive run down of some of the music that has made the Cutloose parties special. It’s been hard selecting stand out tracks from times gone by to the swift releases we’ve seen from some our fave producers this year.
Thank you to everyone who has come and partied, supported, pulled the camo net down and shook the basement at Cutloose during 2009, we really do appreciate it and hope to see you down the front in 2010!
